Custom industrial ladders
Probably the first place that comes to mind when one thinks of custom industrial ladders is the firefighting community. In fact, the city of San Francisco still uses custom wooden ladders at every fire they fight. But, really, this is a small part of the industrial ladder community. Most of the industrial ladders occur outside of the firefighting community and in the warehouse and aeroplane industry. For example, if you’ve ever seen the rolling ladders used at airports, these are known as B1 Maintenance Platform( ladder with a platform). In the past they had ladder trucks that would back up to the airplane door; but, now that custom industrial ladder technology has become so advanced, steel or aluminium rolling stairs are the preferred method for use at airports.
Conveyor crossover ladders are another type of ladder that one would never find in a fire fighting situation. Made mainly for use in industries that have heavy machinery that needs to be maintained, these ladders go up and over a large object and have a large walkable platform that connects each side. That said, the most common type of ladder seen in a warehouse is known as a jiffy rail. Jiffy rales (or gates) are typically made from steel and can be assembled in a flat warehouse space for many different purposes–that is, they can be customized to make any sized platform or tiered system.
The aerospace industry uses many custom industrial ladders. Because this industry is constantly changing and adapting to the latest technology the ladders made in the aerospace industry are going to need to be large, moveable, and able to scale over large objects.
Machine stands, access ladders, and other specialty products make up the remaining types of custom industrial ladders. Most industrial have standard features while their customization affords the ability to have optional features.
The key is to only choose the option that is BEST for the type of job you have.
